Soft and with a slight touch of rigidity. Pure Badger or Gray Badger is the term used to describe the most widely used badger hair in the manufacture of brushes. It is a flexible and thick hair, although remarkably soft, which is extracted from almost the entire body of the badger.

Natural hair shaving brush from Mühle Gray Badger In addition to beech and oak, ash is one of the most important native deciduous woods. It is found throughout Europe, especially in the northernmost regions. For our purposes, the wood is briefly heated to a very high temperature.
Pure badger is the basic quality among the natural hair types. The material can be recognized by its relatively dark coloration. The individual hairs are somewhat thicker, but are still soft and much more flexible than bristles.
